Multiple Courses, Accessible Formats
In Virtual Career Skills 1 & 2, our engaging instructors teach via Zoom to groups of participants gathered with an in-person facilitator. Each course typically spans approximately 16 hours over 8 sessions. Note: It is advised (but not required) that participants complete Career Skills 1 first.
We bring our courses to you by partnering with host organizations throughout Minnesota and beyond. The full in-person course is 16 hours long and can be scheduled over consecutive days or spread across multiple weeks. The minimum class size is eight participants, however, 10-15 is ideal. We are also available for custom, abbreviated sessions on a topic of your choice from our menu of options.
Not only are our courses fun and interactive, but they consistently make a difference.

We’re here to provide clarity and insights into how our courses can empower individuals in their career journeys. Read on to find answers to some common queries:
1. Who is the target audience for the courses?
Our courses were designed with a specific focus on individuals with disabilities, who often face barriers to entering the workforce and accessing career opportunities. However, we believe that the benefits of our classes extend to EVERYONE, regardless of disability status. If you’re seeking to enhance your confidence, self-awareness, communication skills, and other soft skills, our courses are a valuable resource. While our classes are designed to accommodate a wide range of individuals, it’s important to note that those who require constant, one-on-one support and are unlikely to work independently might not find the classes suitable. We’re always available for a conversation to determine the best fit for your situation.
2. Are the courses really free? How?
Yes, all our courses are currently provided free of charge. This is made possible through a combination of government funding, grants from various sources, and generous donations from our supporters. We’re committed to removing financial barriers and making our courses accessible to as many individuals as possible.
3. None of the upcoming courses work for us, are there any other options?
We understand that scheduling constraints can sometimes pose challenges. Our priority is to make our courses accessible and accommodating. If the current course schedule doesn’t align with your needs, we’re more than willing to explore alternative solutions. Reach out to us, and we can discuss the possibility of scheduling a future course at a time that suits you. Additionally, we’re open to exploring custom course options tailored to your organization’s requirements. Our aim is to provide you with the support and resources you need to succeed.
